Overview

Every page in Telestream UP shares the same navigation rail, user menu, and a few platform-wide features described here. This page is a reference for those shared elements — application-specific pages (Capture, Review, Storage, and so on) are documented separately. Every URL in the platform is scoped to a Space (/{space}/{app}/...) — see Spaces below.

Left navigation rail

The collapsible rail on the left lists the applications your organization has enabled and that you have permission to use:
  • Capture — Channels, Scheduler (if enabled), Settings
  • Review — Browser, Player, Settings
  • Lens — Multiviewers, Alarm Log, Sensors, Templates, Settings
  • Workflow — Manage Workflows, Job Monitoring, Settings (Variables, Media Nicknames, Attachment Nicknames, Metadata Labels, Templates)
Near the bottom of the rail:
  • Live Sources — shown if your organization has Live Sources enabled
  • Your user avatar/name — opens the user menu
Which items you see mostly depends on whether your organization’s plan includes that application and whether your role grants you access to it; for most apps, a “Settings” sub-item only appears if your role lets you manage that app (not just use it). Click the collapse icon to shrink the rail to icons only; your preference is remembered.

Spaces

A Space is the organizational container your work happens in — most navigation, settings, and permissions are scoped to a Space. If your organization has more than one Space, a switcher appears near the top of the navigation rail; if there’s only one, its name is shown as plain text. Switching Spaces takes you to the equivalent page in the new Space and remembers your choice for next time.

User menu

Click your avatar/name at the bottom of the navigation rail to open the user menu:
  • Your name and email — click to go to your User Profile
  • Organization Settings — links to the first settings area you have access to (Users, Spaces, Storage, Audit Log, Live Sources, or API Keys)
  • Log Out

Settings navigation

Administrative pages live under Settings, with their own left-hand tab menu. Which tabs you see depends on your organization’s plan and your permissions:
  • Account Overview (platform admins only)
  • Storage
  • Users, Groups, Roles, Spaces, API Keys (user management)
  • Audit Log
  • Credentials (Vault)
  • System (self-hosted deployments only)

Signing in and out

Visiting the platform while signed out redirects you to the sign-in page automatically; after signing in you’re returned to the page you originally requested. Log Out (in the user menu) signs you out and returns you to the sign-in page. If something goes wrong during sign-in, you’ll land on one of these screens instead of the platform:
