What this video covers

This video shows how to go to Settings → Spaces and use Create New Space to set up a new Space — the container that ties together storage, users, and settings for a given part of your organization.

Good to know

A name, and at least one attached storage location. Storage locations are configured under Settings → Storage, so if you haven’t added one yet, do that first — see Adding Storages.
Spaces are the containers that organize storage, users, and settings across the platform. The Spaces list shows each Space’s name, attached storage, and user count.
Yes — the Space named Default can’t be deleted; its row menu simply won’t show a Delete option.
Not directly through the Space itself — access is granted by putting users in a Group and assigning that Group to the Space along with a role. See Creating Roles and Permissions for how Groups tie Spaces, users, and roles together.
Yes — creating, editing, or deleting a Space refreshes your session immediately, so it shows up right away in Space switchers elsewhere in the app.
Plan your storage before your Spaces: since a Space needs at least one attached storage location to exist, deciding how you want media organized (by project, by team, by environment) ahead of time saves you from re-configuring Spaces later.
